Man teaches Saigon street kids to paint in hope of better life

Seventeen years ago, fine arts student Huynh Tan Bao first came to the Thao Dan charity group to teach street children in Ho Chi Minh City. Now he has become one of the group’s veteran members. Japanese specialists are set to continue restoring damaged silk paintings of Nguyen Phan Chanh, a well-known painter of Viet Nam in the 19th and 20th centuries. Museum of Fine Arts launches new display area

A new display area was launched at the HCMC Museum of Fine Arts in District 1 on Saturday after renovation work was completed, reports Tuoi Tre. The work is part of a project to expand the museum which was approved by the city authority way back in 2001.
