Hue artist revives art of making bamboo paper

Phan Hai Bang, an art instructor at the Hue University of Art , has resurrected the ancient art of making bamboo paper that he hopes will weave a brighter future for Hue artisans. As a student in the 1990s, Bang received a grant to promote Asian art and craft ideas. He came up with the idea of making bamboo paper based on traditional papermaking techniques. Graphic arts exhibit ongoing in HCMC
