Man teaches Saigon street kids to paint in hope of better life

Seventeen years ago, fine arts student Huynh Tan Bao first came to the Thao Dan charity group to teach street children in Ho Chi Minh City. Now he has become one of the group’s veteran members. Dong Ho folk painting shines at Asia festival in New York

Hundreds of Dong Ho folk painting delighted visitors at an Asian festival at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. At the Vietnamese stall decorated with eye-catching colourful lanterns from Hoi An, attendees could pick Dong Ho drawings and have them printed as gifts.
