Hanoi opens exhibition on late legendary general

PANO – An exhibition titled “General Vo Nguyen Giap – The Moments of Daily Life” opened at the Vietnam Military History Museum in Hanoi on May 26th.

The exhibition showcases nearly 50 sketches and oil-on-canvas paintings of General Vo Nguyen Giap – the eldest brother of the Vietnamese People’s Army – made by popular artist Van Duong Thanh over the past 20 years. Notably, many works were signed by the General.

This is the first time this collection has been open to the public.

The event will last till June 7th, then move to Quang Binh province, the hometown of General Vo Nguyen Giap, and Ho Chi Minh City.
