The company said the new products were aimed to promote the values of rice, which is very important in Vietnamese culture.

According to the company, it requires many steps to complete a rice painting. Artisans must know how to choose suitable types to create a fluent combination.

Rice used in the paintings is not dyed but roasted and the color of a rice painting might be yellow, white and black depending on the color of the roasted rice.

After being roasted, the rice is arranged into a wooden frame and glued before being processed for storage.

Quynh Vy also plans to release a collection of rice paintings themed Dragon to welcome the Lunar New Year which will start next January 23.
