Chronology

About this book: Dinh Quan is one of the foremost lacquer artists in Vietnam today. He has succeeded in creating dynamic and rich lacquer paintings through innovative media and techniques. Modern lacquer paintings are unique to Vietnam. Other countries produce lacquer ware, but only in Vietnam has the synthesis of traditional lacquer techniques and modern painting been successful. The art of lacquer painting is surely an important Vietnamese contribution to the global contemporary art scene.
